Vacation house De Oude Es is located in the green surroundings of northern Limburg. Bocholt is a village with several nature reserves and plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling. At the church of Reppel (750m from the vacation house) several walks start and there is a junction of the bycicle route network. Also nature reserves and activities in Bree, Peer, Hechtel-Eksel and Oudsbergen are easliy accessible from the vacation house. 

Some  recommended activities in the neighborhood are the covered wagon ride, the brewery museum, vespa ride and guided tours through the cultural sites of the area.
